Some patients have experienced improvement of their rheumatoid
arthritis (RA) symptoms within 12 weeks after beginning
treatment with Kineret®.
Along with managing signs and symptoms,
a number of patients on Kineret® have experienced significant improvement
in every day functionality. These people have enjoyed
substantial relief of many of the symptoms
associated with RA. After a year of treatment, Kineret®
has been shown to slow the progression of joint erosion and cartilage
degradation in patients with active RA.
The most common side effects with Kineret® were injection-site reactions,
involving redness, swelling, bruising, itching, and stinging.
Such reactions were mostly defined as mild and usually lasted 2 to 4 weeks.
